New World First Bus and Citybus have been sparing no effort to enhance fleet management, bus safety and passengers' travelling experience with innovative technologies. The two companies will explain how automation in operations is put into practice with synchronisation of various devices onboard, including the fully integrated Fleet Management System, Octopus device and Dynamic Information Panel. New applications are also in pace to help restrict driving speed, monitor driving behaviour and event count the number of passengers.
The companies also endeavour to facilitate the development of Smart City in Hong Kong, and will share the vision of being the first local bus operators who agree to open up real-time bus arrival data with the government for free public use, as well as the introduction of a new electronic payment system in January 2021.
