"Enduring Membership Award" was launched in August 2021 to acknowledge and recognise the support and dedication of individual members who have held a continuous membership with the Institute for 40 years and above. To leverage on the success of the Award, a series of webinar entitled "Enduring Leaders Experience Sharing 2022" will be arranged in the month of July to September 2022. 5 enduring leaders will be invited to share their experience and wisdom with CILTHK members and friends on the topic related to logistics and/or transport industry.

On 2 March 2022, the first cross-boundary freight train arrived in Hong Kong. The former Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam and other government officials and guests welcomed the first train transporting anti-pandemic goods from the mainland to Hong Kong destined at the Lo Wu marshalling yard. With this, we can see an opportunity to restate a regular railway freight service by building a freight terminal with facilities like cargo integration, consolidation, and warehouses in the Northern Metropolis development. These facilities will reduce the pressure on land transport logistics and offer the logistics industry great work. It helps the Hong Kong Railway industry to become a "China Railway Express" member. This is a rare opportunity in a hundred years. The speaker, Mr. Simon Chan, will share with us his insights and lead us looking into the issue.
