Winner Announcement of CILTHK Student Day 2022

Due to the pandemic, the CILTHK Student Day 2022 was held online on 12th March.  The Judging Panel is formed by five Transport and Logistics experts, they are: 

  • Ir Dr. Vincent FONG, President, CILTHK (Chief Judge)
  • Mr. William CHUNG, Vice Chairman of New World First Bus Service Ltd. / Citybus Ltd.
  • Mr. Ben LUI, Head of Operating - South Region, MTR Corporation Ltd. 
  • Mr. Mark SLADE, Managing Director - Hong Kong & Macau, DHL Global Forwarding (Hong Kong) Ltd.
  • Mr. Patrick WONG, Assistant Commissioner for Transport / Management and Paratransit, Transport Department, HKSAR Government

There were seven teams competed for the Championship.  The impressive performance of students of The University of Hong Kong on the topic of “Matson Inc. can handle transpacific cargo within ten days with its container terminals.  Do you recommend liner shipping companies start owning their exclusive terminal?” won the championship of the year The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong were awarded the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively.
