| |
| Looking ahead |
| Looking ahead, the list of tasks for the Institute
remains long. As someone who has watched the growth of the Institute
and shared many of its dreams. I would suggest that the Council in
the coming session should give priority to the following: |
- First, to renew/further strengthen its membership drive including
the creation of new membership categories.
- Second, to strive for HKSAR Government recognition of
its expertise and professionalism in the field of transport and
logistics.
- Third, to embark on PR initiatives to publicize the work of
the Institute with a view to acquiring official recognition
by the commercial sector.
- Fourth, to better understand and meet the needs of members
and potential members by analyzing the results of the recently
completed Membership Survey.
- Fifth, to further revamp the organization structure of
the Institute with a view to enhancing its operational and management
efficiency.
|
| I am sure you agree that many of these are gigantic
undertakings, and I certainly hope I can count on your unflagging
support and participation in their accomplishment. |
